RECIPE: FRESH MADE BBQ SAUCE Ingredients 1½ cups light brown sugar 1½ cups ketchup 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon yellow mustard 2 teaspoons smoked paprika 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions 1. Add everything to the saucepan: Add the brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper into a small saucepan. 2. Stir until well combined: Mix everything together over low to medium heat until the brown sugar starts to dissolve and the sauce looks smooth. 3. Bring it to a gentle simmer: Let the sauce heat up until it starts to lightly bubble. You do not need a hard boil here. 4. Simmer for a few minutes: Cook the sauce for about 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how thick you like it. Remember to stir occasionally and keep the heat on low. 5. Taste and adjust if needed: Give it a taste once it’s done simmering. If you want it sweeter, add a little more brown sugar. If you want more tang, add a small splash of apple cider vinegar. 6.
