Let's gather as a community and celebrate reaching our first major milestone of 800 Owners. We have gotten here because of the dedication of the co-op community, the culmination of 8 years of hard work ,and the community's investment in building food resiliency in Long Beach. We are so close to opening our store, even though we have a lot of work left to do.

Food for Thought with Long Beach Fresh
Local communities have been organizing to create health and environmental equity through food systems change in the LBC. Join Long Beach Fresh (@longbeachfresh) Co-Director Tony Damico to discuss what their food policy council has been cooking up in their action groups. Topic areas include micro-entrepreneurship, school food improvements, composting, urban agriculture, and hunger relief.

Fair Trade Long Beach
Join us on the second Saturdays of the month at Parkview Village for an outdoor fair trade festival and co-op expo. There will be fair trade and co-op vendors, educational information booths, food and refreshments, and art and entertainment. Masks are required.

Current Sea Movie Screening
Santa Monica's is streaming CURRENT SEA, a feature-length environmental thriller that follows investigative journalist, Matt Blomberg, and ocean activist, Paul Ferber, in their risky efforts to create a marine conservation area and combat the relentless tide of illegal fishing. Today there will be a Director Q&A with Christopher Smith at 6 pm.
Owner-Member Meeting
Our 5th annual Owner-Member meeting will be Sunday, October 25th, from 5-6 pm. Join us as we celebrate all that we’ve accomplished and mobilize around getting our new storefront. A voting share is required to attend. Two meeting attendees will be selected at random to win a gift bag from Equal Exchange.
